About The Position

The Analyst, CAM drives day-to-day asset management across the Build-to-Rent (BTR) community portfolio. This role bridges operational execution and data-driven strategy — owning performance reporting, managing cross-functional partnerships, and implementing process improvements that lift occupancy, NOI, and resident satisfaction. The associate takes on direct accountability for strategy identification and implementation, KPI tracking, forecasting, and portfolio-level coordination while building toward future leadership responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and strong academic record in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analytics, or related fields required
  • 2+ years analytical support roles, in property management, asset management, or multifamily/BTR operations
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Single-Family Rental (SFR) or Build-to-Rent communities and new home building processes
  • Strong experience working with large data sets and performing exploratory data analysis required
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI or Tableau — ability to build and maintain executive-level dashboards
  • Expert-level Excel: pivot tables, financial modeling, variance analysis, and data visualization
  • Hands-on experience with Yardi and/or RealPage, including reporting and operational modules
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or equivalent CRM for resident and partner relationship tracking
  • High comfort adopting and evaluating new technologies; genuine curiosity for tech-enabled workflows
  • Strong ability to synthesize large data sets into concise reports with actionable insights
  • Proven track record building performance dashboards and presenting findings to senior leadership
  • Experience tracking KPIs including occupancy rates, leasing velocity, NPS, maintenance response times, and NOI drivers
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency
  • Superior written and verbal communication; able to translate complex data into plain business language
  • Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, independently or collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Own community-level performance reporting: build and maintain dashboards in Power BI/Tableau/Claude tracking occupancy, leasing velocity, maintenance costs, and resident satisfaction
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for market and corporate leadership, translating data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations
  • Support portfolio-level reviews to identify underperforming assets; track corrective action plans
  • Analyze data and identify trends and key findings in both qualitative and quantitative data sets from various systems
  • Conduct variance analysis on budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures; surface anomalies and proposed resolutions
  • Maintain and continuously improve data integrity across Yardi, Salesforce, and all reporting portals
  • Support community-specific asset management strategies to maximize occupancy, NOI, and resident retention
  • Serve as the central liaison between corporate Asset Management and on-site teams, marketing, maintenance, leasing, and technology
  • Conduct regular market and community audits to ensure alignment with asset performance goals and brand standards
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and lead process improvement initiatives across the portfolio
  • Assist in oversight of special projects related to community enhancements, capital improvements, and operational scaling
  • Champion resident engagement programs and community events to maintain high satisfaction scores and low turnover
  • Analyze resident satisfaction data and maintenance trends; recommend proactive measures to improve retention
  • Evaluate vendor performance using data-driven scorecards; escalate issues as needed
  • Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning exercises
  • Monitor actuals vs. budget using advanced Excel financial models; flag risks and opportunities early
  • Identify opportunities to design new and/or refine existing analyses and processes to improve the asset management team’s productivity, accuracy, and efficiency over time
