About The Position

The Lab IS Laboratory Applications – Analyst-Applications II role covers the support, and optimization of specialized clinical applications used in Blood Bank, Cellular Therapy, and HLA environments. This role plays an essential part in ensuring system reliability and user support while also contributing to project-based initiatives, including IU Health’s transition to Epic. The ideal candidate brings a strong clinical laboratory background and an interest in applying that expertise within an Information Services environment. Supports mission-critical laboratory systems that directly enable safe blood transfusions, cellular therapies, and organ transplantation across IU Health. This position is part of the Lab IS Laboratory Applications team, which is responsible for the maintenance.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience required.
• Requires knowledge of multi-application and system interdependencies.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Prefers experience with databases or clinical applications.

Responsibilities

• Configures, installs, maintains and upgrades hospital information systems hardware and software under general supervision.
• Administers and maintains security of operating systems.
• Provides operational support for the organization's information systems, peripheral equipment, and clinical applications.
• Provides onsite support to the organization's internal users of computer applications and hardware.
• Solves moderately complex problems.
• Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.
