We are looking to fill TWO open Analyst positions on the Annuity New Business Case Management team. Position Overview The Annuity New Business Case Manager is a key operational role within Nationwide’s Annuity New Business Operations department, responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of new annuity business from initial receipt through contract issuance. This team functions as a centralized processing group that manages end‑to-end case ownership, ensuring annuity contracts are established, funded, and issued in compliance with product guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting service level expectations. As the only case management group handling the full lifecycle of new annuity business, this team plays a critical role in operational quality, risk mitigation, and business delivery.

Requirements

  • Four or more years of relevant experience in operations, case management, or customer service, preferably within insurance, annuities, or financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently, analyze complex issues, and determine the most effective path forward within established guidelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team‑based, high‑volume operational environment.
  • This position will be hired on a hybrid, SuccessFlex basis. The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location(s): Ohio: 1000 Yard St, Grandview Heights, OH, 43212 Arizona: 18700 N Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ, 85255
  • Work schedule: 2 days in office, 3 days remote
  • It is our intention to fill this role in Columbus, Ohio or Scottsdale, AZ. However, on occasion, applications from internal candidates working remotely who bring critical industry skills and relevant experience may be considered.
  • This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage annuity new business cases end to end, including contract set‑up, review of funding and transfer documentation, facilitation of incoming assets, and final issuance of contracts.
  • Review applications, forms, and supporting documents to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance with annuity product rules, regulatory standards, and internal procedures.
  • Identify “not in good order” items, determine the appropriate corrective actions, and follow through with agents, partners, and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Independently prioritize and re‑prioritize workload throughout the day to align with funding deadlines, service level agreements, and shifting business priorities.
  • Utilize Nationwide processing systems and workflow tools to track case status, document follow‑ups, review inbound materials, and support accurate recordkeeping and audit readiness.
