About The Position

The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department is seeking qualified individuals to join their team as an AMI Metering Services Coordinator. This is a regular, full-time position with benefits, scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The role involves serving as the subject-matter expert to lead and support the utility's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system. The coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, analyzing, and evaluating the water metering infrastructure and data to enhance system performance and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience with a combination of meter reading and customer service, including previous experience with utility billing or related software
  • An ADEQ Grade 2 Water Distribution Certification within one (1) year of hire or promotion
  • A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system.
  • Previous experience with advanced metering and water audit responsibilities.
  • Previous experience as a lead.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject-matter expert to lead and support the utility's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system.
  • Coordinate, analyze, and evaluate the water metering infrastructure and data to enhance system performance and improve operational efficiency.
