AMI(Advanced Metering Infrastructure) Functional Consultant
About The Position
The Infosys SURE (Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy) unit supports businesses in services, utilities, energy, and resources through strategic digital transformation, using AI and digital technologies to drive innovation and operational excellence. The role is assigned the job role of Domain Project Lead 1 and supports functional consulting and project delivery for utility-domain initiatives. It involves coordinating project timelines and resources, facilitating communication between technical teams and clients, supporting product evaluation and system configuration work, and overseeing deliverables against quality benchmarks and stakeholder expectations. The position may require relocation and/or travel to the work or project location. The estimated annual compensation range for a candidate based in Rosemead, California, is $96,713 to $132,661.
Requirements
- Experience in utilities CIS and/or AMI and MDMS implementations.
- Experience integrating CIS/AMI with systems such as field systems, call centers, web, asset and work systems, and outage systems.
- Functional understanding of business processes for AMI rollouts, metering, billing, and work management in regulated utilities.
- Experience with requirements modelling and other tools to improve IT-team quality and productivity.
- Experience leading development teams and working with client teams and subject matter experts at operational and leadership levels.
- Experience preparing and executing testing involving AMI projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive specialty experience in lieu of each year of education.

Responsibilities
- Develop project timelines and proactively identify and address resource discrepancies to ensure timely project completion.
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and clients, facilitating communication through regular meetings and milestone reviews.
- Support functional teams in advisory and consulting initiatives involving domain-specific product evaluation, benchmarking studies, and system configurations.
- Monitor project deliverables across all phases to meet quality benchmarks and stakeholder expectations.
- Manage risks proactively to support project delivery.
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders through effective communication.
- Govern project scope and identify additional project opportunities.
- Anticipate challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
- Balance project economics with strategic priorities.
- Lead development teams and work with client teams and subject matter experts at operational and leadership levels.
- Prepare and execute testing involving AMI projects.
