AmeriCorps Workforce Specialist Team Lead (3400)
About The Position
This role serves as both a Workforce Specialist and a peer leader for a team member, with the primary goal of enhancing team effectiveness, cohesion, and development. The position involves modeling service practices, providing on-the-spot assistance and training, leading weekly team meetings and member development activities, and organizing team service projects. The Team Lead will also act as a communication bridge between team members, program staff, and site supervisors. Please note that this role does not involve signing member timesheets, evaluating or disciplining members, or managing program payroll/budgets.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Has not enrolled more than four times in an AmeriCorps State or National Direct Program, or more than five one-year terms for VISTA programs or two terms for NCCC programs.
- Strong desire to serve.
- Commitment to diversity, teamwork and self-development.
- A desire to work with youth.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft experience.
