About The Position

The Healthy Harvest Corps (HHC) is an AmeriCorps program administered by the Ohio Association of Foodbanks to help expand and sustain Food Is Medicine initiatives statewide. These efforts treat reliable access to nutritious food as a key driver of improved health and well-being. As an AmeriCorps member at Mid-Ohio Food Collective, you will support neighbors by increasing access to healthy food and practical nutrition knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Delivering basic nutrition education through group sessions, pantry outreach, and community events
• Using clear, approachable messaging on balanced meals, fruits and vegetables, food labels, and healthier choices
• Engaging customers during pantry operations with informal guidance
• Supporting produce box programs through packing, distribution, and customer coordination
• Helping create and share education materials
• Weaving nutrition messaging into distribution settings
• Supporting Healthy Eating Research (HER) awareness
• Participating in partner meetings
• Tracking service activities and participation
