Napa County Office Of Education•Napa, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

Neighbor-to-Neighbor (N2N) AmeriCorps Fellows serve at nonprofit and government agencies across Northern California to build volunteer infrastructure and strengthen community engagement. Fellows are placed at a single Host Site and work primarily behind the scenes to design and implement systems for volunteer engagement, support Neighborhood Leaders, and respond to local needs. They also engage with the local community to build relationships, understand community dynamics, and inform inclusive engagement strategies. The program aims to reduce social isolation, increase volunteer participation, and strengthen local capacity for climate action and disaster preparedness. Fellows serve in pairs at Host Sites as part of a 20-member cohort. Over the eight-month service term, they participate in collaboration, professional development, and AmeriCorps training. This is a full-time, in-person service commitment of at least 1,200 hours. Hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but vary by Host Site and may include evenings and weekends. Fellows must live within 50 miles of their Host Site. Duties may take place at multiple locations throughout Northern California, and occasional travel to designated training locations is required.
