About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers compassionate, high-quality, individualized care to support patients’ well-being and recovery. The role involves assessing patients, performing skilled procedures, implementing care plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes. The nurse evaluates patients’ responses to care and provides education to patients and families while communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- One year of experience as a postanesthesia care unit (PACU) RN in an acute care setting.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs, considering diagnosis, age, care setting, desire for care, and response to the care plan.
- Plan care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
- Deliver competent care as required by the patient, plan of care, and care setting.
- Evaluate patients’ responses to care.
- Provide interactive education to patients and families.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
