About The Position

Come join our team as a full-time Ambulatory Nurse with BJC Medical Group in our Arrhythmia Center located in Creve Coeur, this is a rare opportunity to join a great team! Outpatient managing pre and post care for Cardiac Devices and Arrhythmia patients. 40-Hours per week Day Shift Benefit Eligible NO CALL, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS. Located on the campus of Missouri Baptist Medical Center, the Nurse Practitioner position will support both our Arrhythmia Center and Valve Clinic. The centers include highly trained and hospital-based specialists. As a nurse practitioner in the centers, you will work alongside our cardiac electrophysiologists and partner with structural heart cardiologists, heart surgeons and interventional cardiologists to care for every type of cardiac condition. Provides direct patient care to identified patients in collaboration with providers and care team to assess, develop and implement a plan of care to deliver clinically appropriate, high-quality, cost-effective care. The ambulatory RN offers oversight/guidance to clinical staff working in the clinic and helps to support providers with daily patient management. BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing
• 2-5 years experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• RN

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
• 5-10 years experience

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PCPs and Specialists to develop and implement care plans to maximize healthcare outcomes and facilitate wellness with periodic review and update according to department protocols.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Assures that clinical protocols and patient assessment guidelines are followed in accordance with standard operating procedures and compliance guidelines.
• Supports providers in appropriately documenting patient assessment and treatment protocols in accordance with compliance standards.
• Provides patient education and support, including verbal and written instructions; uses the appropriate tools and techniques to assess the patient’s and/or family’s ability to receive education; takes initiative to problem solve and demonstrates critical thinking skills.
