About The Position
This is a part-time Ambulatory Clinical Tech position within Surgical Specialties at a teaching clinic. The clinic focuses on improving healthcare through education and research, with resident physicians practicing alongside supervising physicians. The ACT plays an integral role in the teaching and development of resident physicians, learning advanced skills and expanding medical knowledge to provide exceptional patient care. The clinic serves a diverse patient population with complex needs, including those in Adult Plastic Surgery, Plastic Surgery Residency, General Surgery Residency, and Orthopedic Surgery Residency. Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering various care options and opportunities for staff to learn and specialize.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
Responsibilities
- Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Provider or Registered Nurse (RN) in the examination and treatment of patients to facilitate clinic flow and provide excellent patient care.
- Performs basic skills per department guidelines and policies; communicate observations to members of the health care team.
- Rooming patients, collecting vitals, and assisting in minor office procedures.
- EPIC In basket work.
- Processing FMLA and short-term Disability work.
- Answering phones.
