About The Position

The Ambulatory Clinical Clerical Tech serves in both clinical and clerical capacities at Gaslight Family Medicine. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider, this team member delivers quality patient care and provides clerical support for complex matters that help deliver value-driven health care services. Duties include patient check-in and check-out, insurance authorizations, answering phones, and right-fax. The team member will also be cross-trained clinically.

Corewell Health operates more than 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, including over 40 types of primary care and specialty practices.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week day-shift role, scheduled Monday through Friday. The listed daily schedule varies, with work hours between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The position is based at Gas Light Village in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, or lab service support.
• Two years of clinical care experience.
