About The Position

Gaslight Family Medicine is a close-knit, experienced team that values collaboration, mutual support, and compassionate care for a diverse patient population. Corewell Health operates more than 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, spanning over 40 types of primary care and specialty practices.

The Ambulatory Clinical Clerical Tech performs both clinical and clerical work. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider, this team member delivers quality patient care and provides clerical support for complex matters to help deliver value-driven health care. Duties include patient check-in and check-out, insurance authorizations, answering phones, right-fax, and cross-training in clinical work.

This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with variable hours between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The position is based at Gas Light Village in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, or lab service support.
• Two years of clinical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider.
