About The Position

This team member will serve in a clinical and clerical role within the Neurosciences team, which supports 5 different subspecialties: Neurosurgery, Epilepsy, Neurovascular Stroke, General Neurology, and Movement Disorders. The providers in this practice offer both inpatient and outpatient care and can be seen in the Operating Room (OR), Interventional Radiology (IR), and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). The role emphasizes strong teamwork, adaptability, and determination to provide exceptional patient care and positive experiences. The team is composed of talented individuals striving for efficient operations and mutual respect.

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering a variety of care options. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, providing opportunities for staff to learn and explore various interests or specialize in one area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of Insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support experience Preferred
• 2 years of clinical care experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.
• Provide clerical support in complex matters to assist in the delivery of value-driven health care services.
• Patient rooming.
• Collecting and reporting vitals and other health information.
• Stocking and cleaning.
• Documentation.
• Administrative functions including patient check-in/out.
• Scheduling appointments.
• Insurance authorization.
