Ambulance Driver
About The Position
Haxtun Health Ambulance is hiring an Ambulance Driver for flexible, PRN-only work supporting patients in the community. The role has no regularly scheduled shifts; responders provide coverage on an as-needed basis. Weekday coverage is handled by the first available responders who can answer a call. Weekend coverage is provided by two on-call responders from Saturday at 6:00 a.m. to Monday at 6:00 a.m. On-call hourly pay is provided during weekend coverage, in addition to commission paid per trip for every call taken. The position responds to inter-facility transfer calls and transports critically ill or injured patients to a medical facility under the Haxtun Ambulance EMS Protocols. This PRN position is not eligible for benefits. Applications are accepted on a regular basis.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 23 years of age.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to obtain ICS 100 and 700 for NIMS compliance.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inter-facility transfer calls.
- Provide efficient and immediate care to critically ill and injured patients.
- Transport patients to a medical facility in accordance with the Haxtun Ambulance EMS Protocols.
- Provide as-needed weekday or weekend on-call coverage.
