About The Position

H3 Manufacturing is seeking an Amada Press Brake Operator for their 2nd shift. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating Amada press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components according to blueprints and specifications with a dimensional tolerance of 0.010 inches. The ideal candidate will possess precision, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Person as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
2+ years of experience operating an Amada press brake (required)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and setup sheets.
Strong understanding of metal types, thicknesses, and bend allowances.
Basic math and measurement skills using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift and occasional overtime as required.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
Frequent bending, reaching, and manual handling of sheet metal materials.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery and measuring equipment.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Amada CNC controls (e.g., HG, HRB, RG or newer systems) a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate Amada press brake machines (RG, HRB, & HG) to produce metal parts according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and production requirements.
Select, install, and align appropriate tooling, dies, and fixtures for each job.
Perform first-piece inspections and ensure all parts meet dimensional and visual quality standards.
Adjust machine settings and offsets as needed to maintain consistent quality and efficiency.
Maintain accurate production records, including setup times, quantities, and inspection results.
Monitor machine operation and report malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor or maintenance department.
Handle material safely and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Follow all safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
