About The Position

The AM Server is responsible for taking food and beverage orders, retrieving and serving alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. This role also involves collecting payments and assisting in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment. The server must ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department, and maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications. Effective communication with the General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors, and Staff is also a key aspect of this role. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
