About The Position

Greet and serve guests according to standards. This role involves preparing and serving a full range of coffee and espresso beverages, maintaining equipment, monitoring supplies, and engaging with guests about product knowledge. Additionally, it includes taking and serving guest orders promptly, performing assigned set-up side work, answering menu questions, operating the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system, and checking food for appearance, temperature, and portions before serving.

Requirements

Ability to communicate in English.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Can communicate well with guests.
Willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a full range of coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain and operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, ensuring proper calibration and cleanliness.
Monitor coffee bean freshness, restock supplies, and rotate inventory to maintain quality standards.
Create consistently high-quality milk texturing and latte art for specialty beverages.
Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines when handling beverages, syrups, dairy products, and equipment.
Engage guests with product knowledge, recommending coffee blends, brewing methods, and flavor pairings.
Take and serve guest orders promptly and according to service manual.
Do all necessary set-up side work as assigned.
Answer any guest questions about the menu.
Operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable).
Check food before serving it to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
