About The Position

Altercare Newark North is seeking an LPN Alzheimer’s Program Coordinator for their specialized, secure unit. This role involves delivering programming with and through CNAs to enrich the lives of residents, touching their lives clinically, emotionally, and spiritually. Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid Ohio License.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in development and facilitation of activity programs.
• Prior experience working in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or geriatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise all aspects of care and programming for dementia residents.
• Design and implement creative activities for dementia residents.
• Develop care plans and perform assessments.
• Conduct resident screenings and family interviews.
