About The Position

The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is seeking a full-time Alumni Events Manager. This position reports directly to the Director of Alumni Events and Operations. The Alumni Events Manager is responsible for coordinating multi-day class reunions and other alumni events throughout the year. The incumbent will oversee all aspects of event planning and logistics to include communication with the client as outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement. Executes event phase timeline to include updating, maintaining, and reporting on deadlines. Creates and maintains event registration sites, reports, and other event documents needed to support the function of the event. Maintains close, positive working relationships with graduates, other constituents, and vendors. In addition to working in the office, the incumbent will be required to work off-site both after hours and on weekends as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in the event industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of analytical ability to handle complex problems.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and numerous external agencies.
  • Proficient in computer applications - Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize multiple, detail-oriented priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to take initiative in identifying more effective methods of work operation.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, and possess a bright and positive attitude.
  • Excellent writing, organization, and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Blackbaud's CRM, BBIS software, Cvent, and basic HTML is desired.
