About the position
CAIS is seeking an experienced sales professional to join their Alternative Investments team. The role involves generating new business within various financial institutions and supporting product and distribution teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of technical investment products and excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. They should also possess a client service attitude and entrepreneurial spirit. The responsibilities include initiating and executing new client relationships, developing expertise on CAIS investment products, preparing presentations and materials for client meetings, coordinating product launch strategies, and assisting in roadshows and conferences.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and execute new client relationships within Independent Broker Dealers, RIAs, RIA aggregators, Independent Wealth Managers, and Family Offices in an assigned region
- Develop expertise on all CAIS investment products; Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, ’40 Act Funds, Equity and Debt Syndicate and Structured Solutions
- Service existing client relationships and fulfill any requests for assistance or information
- Prepare presentations and materials for client meetings
- Coordinate and execute tailored product launch strategies
- Coordinate manager due diligence and selection processes
- Assist in the planning and execution of roadshows and conferences
- Assist in the creation of product marketing collateral
- Work alongside the sales team on client pitches, product positioning, and sales campaigns
- Build excellent working relationships across multiple lines of business and corporate functions
- Handle special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- 5-10+ years of internal and/or external sales experience in the alternatives space
- Bachelor's degree in business
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Capacity to understand a diverse range of technical investment products
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
- Great client service attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to initiate and execute new client relationships
- Knowledge and expertise on CAIS investment products
- Ability to prepare presentations and materials for client meetings
- Experience in coordinating and executing tailored product launch strategies
- Familiarity with manager due diligence and selection processes
- Ability to assist in the planning and execution of roadshows and conferences
- Proficiency in creating product marketing collateral
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
- Flexibility to take on special projects and additional responsibilities as needed
