About The Position

The Fund Services team at UMB is a nationally respected investment services provider offering a broad array of services for mutual funds and alternative investments to a wide range of investment advisors, independent money managers, broker-dealers, banks, third-party administrators, insurance companies and other financial services providers. The Operations Specialist role is a part of the Transfer Agency, which is one of the main services we offer our clients. As an Alternative Investment (AI) Operations Specialist I, you will process all documents for AI products that UMB services. As documents come to your queue to process, you will review the document to ensure everything is in good order. You will research and resolve items that are not in good order. As you grow your skills and become more proficient in your work, the funds will become more complex. You will also have the opportunity to help train new associates while assisting your manager with project work. The team works hard but, in a fun, relaxed environment where the dress code is casual. You will be able to manage your work individually but still have a team around them to offer support when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• One year of transaction processing experience

Responsibilities

• Process all documents for AI products that UMB services.
• Review documents to ensure everything is in good order.
• Research and resolve items that are not in good order.
• Help train new associates.
• Assist manager with project work.
• Ensure transactions are processed accurately and timely to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Input investor information into the database to achieve complete accuracy.
• Review the work of other specialists and provide constructive feedback.
