About The Position

This is a Non-Instructional position for an Alternative Education Assistant at New Beginnings - Immokalee. The position serves students at New Beginnings Immokalee, an alternative educational program modeled on the strict hierarchy of The U.S. Marines Corps. The position requires the staff member to wear a uniform and provide classroom assistance in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures of New Beginnings.

Requirements

• Two years of study at an institution of higher education; or an Associate’s degree (or higher); or demonstrate through a formal State or local academic assessment (ParaPro Assessment) knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instruction, reading, writing and mathematics, as appropriate and knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness, as appropriate.
• Basic computer skills required (e.g., ability to use email).
