About The Position

The Alterations and Tailor Shop Manager leads the shop’s employees and daily workload, with a focus on outstanding customer service and meeting Nordstrom’s service and quality standards. The manager teaches, coaches, and develops employees; recruits and hires talent; and ensures alterations and tailoring work is organized and completed by the promised dates. The role also educates employees on proper fit and shop procedures and manages office and labor expenses. A flexible schedule may be needed based on department and store needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in alterations or tailoring.
• Understanding of the safe and proper use of all equipment in the shop.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and customers.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
