About The Position

Amentum is seeking a knowledgeable resource with broad knowledge of the governments IT environment and Relativity experience to join a team of legal professionals in providing support to the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington DC. The successful candidate will serve as a technical lead, responsible for the delivery of lab data processing services, generating outgoing productions, and quality control of coding fields. This role ensures the timely and accurate completion of technical work orders, aligns priorities in the data processing queue, and assists with completing requests in the queue. The position involves consulting with attorneys and support staff on best practices for conforming to ESI specifications, and ensuring that incoming productions are made pursuant to applicable ESI specifications and outgoing productions are compliant with applicable stipulations. The role also advises attorneys, paralegals, and case managers on all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), particularly Data Collection, Processing, Hosting, Review, Analytics, and Production. The ALS Lab Manager will manage a team of eDiscovery professionals situated in a client-site eDiscovery laboratory, advise on all phases of electronic discovery, and ensure the successful completion of work, timeliness of deliverables, and quality control. Collaboration with teams to create search strategies and management of the work order queue are key responsibilities. Participation in Rule 26(f) conferences is also required.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • At least eight years of experience performing eDiscovery roles including but not limited to electronic files processing (EFP), image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval, and data analysis and review.
  • At least five years of experience at the management/supervisory level
  • Thorough knowledge of the litigation discovery process, and the EDRM workflow
  • Working knowledge and certifications of document review software such as iConect, Relativity, Venio or similar tools
  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in computer science or related field
  • Extensive Relativity experience.
  • Extensive data processing experience.
  • Requires broad knowledge of the Government's IT environments, including office automation networks, and PC and server based databases and applications.
  • Experience with litigation support tools such as LAW, IPRO, Concordance, MS Office Suite, and LiveNote highly valued.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
