This role instructs and supervises students in the didactic, laboratory, and clinical phases of their education to prepare them for an Associate degree specialty as assigned by the Program Coordinator.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of four years full-time experience as an RRT required.
Current critical care experience and teaching experience are required for this position.
Credentials in specialty and in good standing with pertinent regulatory agencies.
Minimum of an Associate degree is required; candidates are required to obtain their bachelor's degree within three (3) years of their start date as outlined in the Education Agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Provides didactic instruction and evaluation for students.
Provides instruction in skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.
Provides laboratory demonstration, instruction and pre-clinical evaluation for students.
Provides clinical demonstration, instruction and evaluation for students as both formative feedback and terminal competency testing.
Develops course outlines, objectives and evaluation tools for designated courses that are consistent with accreditation requirements and college policy.
Provides academic counseling as needed to students during all phases of the educational program.
Participates in the Advisory Board, Admission Committee, faculty meetings and in-services as assigned.
Maintains student records that are consistent with accreditation requirements, college policy, and hospital policy.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
