Remote Allergy Utilization Reviewer (Indiana Licensed)- 1099 Contractor
About The Position
Medical Review Institute of America (MRIoA), an Independent Review Organization specializing in technology-driven utilization management and clinical medical review, is seeking board-certified physicians in Allergy and Immunology to conduct independent Utilization Reviews. This is a flexible, fully remote 1099 independent-contractor opportunity requiring approximately 1–2 hours per week, with no minimum commitment. Reviewers may work remotely from anywhere in the United States; under HIPAA regulations, patient records cannot leave the United States. The work is covered under MRIoA's Errors and Omissions policy. Workers must comply with applicable HIPAA regulations and company policies and procedures for protecting the confidentiality, privacy, and security of sensitive health information. Daytime availability is required for peer-to-peer conversations.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO).
- Current Indiana medical license.
- Current board certification in Allergy and Immunology.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience; residency is included in the experience requirement.
- Daytime availability for peer-to-peer conversations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent Utilization Reviews.
- Participate in peer-to-peer conversations during daytime hours.
- Adhere to applicable HIPAA regulations and company policies and procedures regarding confidential, private, and secure handling of sensitive health information.
