About The Position

Hometown Grocers is hiring associates immediately for opportunities across multiple store departments and leadership roles. Openings may be part-time, full-time, temporary, or regular. Deli associates contribute to cooking and guest service, including preparing items made in the store, with opportunities for advancement. Grocery Stocker associates stock aisles, check expiration dates, and replenish empty shelves while interacting with guests. Front End associates provide customer service and create a positive final impression for guests. Bakery associates make scratch bakery items and use creativity to prepare products in different flavors, shapes, and colors. Meat associates handle fresh meat products, prepare quality items, and provide guest service. Frozen Food and Dairy associates stock aisles, check expiration dates, and replenish shelves. Store leadership opportunities include Shift Manager, Assistant Manager, Department Lead, and other roles, with multiple schedules available.

Requirements

• Deli experience in food service, cooking, retail, restaurants, chef work, fast food, grocery, or customer service is welcomed.
• Deli applicants without experience may be considered if they have a passion for guest service and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Front End applicants should enjoy interacting with people and providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment.
• Bakery applicants should be creative and enjoy baking.

Responsibilities

• Create made-from-scratch bakery items in a variety of flavors, shapes, and colors.
• Handle fresh meat products, prepare quality products, and provide guest service.
• Stock frozen food and dairy aisles, check expiration dates, and replenish empty shelves.
• Serve in store leadership roles such as Shift Manager, Assistant Manager, or Department Lead.
