About The Position

Southern Tire Mart is seeking an Alignment Technician to perform alignments on commercial trucks, trailers, and other vehicles. This role involves inspecting suspension and steering systems, diagnosing issues, and performing necessary repairs. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining service records and ensuring safe operation of equipment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for collaborating with team members and customers.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
Knowledge of alignment equipment and specifications.
Ability to lift/move tires and parts weighing up to 100 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Overtime maybe required.

Experience performing alignments and suspension repairs preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform alignments on commercial trucks, trailers, and other vehicles using alignment equipment.
Inspect suspension, steering, and related systems for wear or damage.
Diagnose and recommend corrective measures for handling, tire wear, and alignment issues.
Install and adjust steering and suspension components as needed.
Maintain accurate service records and update work orders in the system.
Operate equipment and tools safely and effectively.
Communicate clearly with service writers, customers, and other technicians regarding service needs and completion timelines.
Assist with other mechanical or tire-related work as required.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
