Alignment Technician
About The Position
Bauer Built is hiring an Alignment Technician in Romeoville, Illinois. The technician performs vehicle alignments, suspension repairs, and steering system repairs, and learns and applies alignment theory using Hunter Alignment Technology and related equipment. The role includes diagnosing and repairing worn vehicle components, inspecting tires, communicating findings and recommendations when needed, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot tire, suspension, and alignment issues.
- Solid understanding of vehicle mechanics, particularly suspension and steering systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proven customer service skills with a focus on quality and trust.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle alignments, suspension repairs, and steering system repairs as assigned.
- Learn and apply alignment theory and concepts using Hunter Alignment Technology and related equipment.
- Diagnose and replace or repair worn components such as ball joints, tie rods, and control arms.
- Inspect tires for wear patterns, damage, and alignment-related concerns.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to service advisors or customers when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following safety protocols.
