Algorithm Engineering Intern
About The Position
The Algorithm Engineering Intern contributes to business priorities by delivering high-impact work in algorithm engineering. The role applies traditional and deep learning techniques—including optical, physical, and mathematical modeling, inverse problems, and AI models—to improve results on KLA products. The intern experiments with new techniques to improve results or reduce compute costs for modeling methods that process and analyze measurement spectra and images. The position also builds signal and image processing and analysis tools, manages measurement and imaging data for training and experimentation, and develops software solutions for processing and analyzing measurements and images.

Responsibilities
- Apply traditional and deep learning algorithm techniques, including optical, physical, and mathematical modeling, inverse problems, and AI models, to meet and improve results on KLA products.
- Experiment with new techniques to improve results or reduce compute costs for modeling methods that process and analyze measurement spectra and images.
- Build signal and image processing and analysis tools to support more efficient experimentation.
- Manage measurement and imaging data used to train and experiment with AI and physics modeling systems.
- Develop software tools and solutions for processing and analyzing measurements and images for KLA products.
