Algorithm Engineer Senior - Clearance Required
About The Position
The Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team is seeking a Software Engineer to thrive in a fast-paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications. This role involves providing specialized expertise within multiple systems and software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas. Common responsibilities include designing and developing new algorithms within the C2BMC Track Server application, analyzing, testing, and verifying existing algorithm design and performance, supporting software testing and issue resolution, performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, working from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications, assisting with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs, and interfacing with other system support groups. The role also requires generating software design artifacts and supporting design and code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4+ years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of sensor discrimination/classification of objects.
- Demonstrated experience in design, development, testing, and documentation of complex mathematical algorithms.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis of complex algorithms and software, including utilizing metrics and visualizations to ensure product performance.
- Experience with strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review system behavior issues, identify root cause and recommend a solution.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment
- Ability to work with multiple disciplinary teams including Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Deployment and Warfighter Support to help ensure mission success.
- Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.
