About The Position

The Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System, protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team is composed of many small agile teams working together in a dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies. The C2BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train is seeking a Software Engineer that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications. Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in computer /electrical engineering, physics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7+ years of professional experience.
  • Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.
  • Demonstrated understanding of sensor discrimination/classification of objects.
  • Demonstrated experience in design, development, testing, and documentation of complex mathematical algorithms.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis of complex algorithms and software, including utilizing metrics and visualizations to ensure product performance.
  • Experience with strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review system behavior issues, identify root cause and recommend a solution.
  • The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently, and be able to work in a highly dynamic environment
  • Candidate will need to be able to work with multiple disciplinary teams including Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Deployment and Warfighter Support to help ensure mission success.
  • Candidate must be comfortable working within agile team and presenting work to external stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop discrimination/fusion algorithms within the C2BMC Track Server application
  • Analyze, test, and verify existing algorithm design and performance
  • Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
  • Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution
  • Works from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
  • Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of algorithms and software
  • Interface with other system support groups
  • Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews
  • Develop technical documentation (whitepaper/ADD) and present design to external stakeholders
