About The Position

The Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team is seeking a software engineer to join their fast-paced team. This role involves the design, development, and testing of C2BMC applications. The engineer will provide specialized expertise within multiple systems and software disciplines, with a general understanding of related disciplines and customer areas. The work is performed in a dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4+ years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience software development of Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).
  • Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams.
  • Security+ or equivalent certification may be required within 60 days of starting.
  • Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new Java applications
  • Maintain existing Java applications
  • Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
  • Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution
  • Works from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
  • Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
  • Interface with other system support groups
  • Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews
