About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft Program is looking for an Airworthiness Professional to join our Airworthiness team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with Engineering, Programs and Customer Services teams. You will be part of the Continuing Airworthiness team responsible for Project Management of Safety Items as well as Safety Related Events. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or an equivalent, with 8 years or more experience
  • Have aviation experience, experience dealing with government authorities and certification regulations
  • Possess developed competencies related to Project engineering and have a good understanding of aircraft functionality
  • Possess great relational acumen and excellent social/interpersonal skills
  • Be organized/self-motivated and bilingual (French, English) with strong verbal/written English skills
  • Have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access) as well as the Google Suite of tools (Sheets, Docs and Slides) and basic Internet skills
  • Have strong digital literacy with the ability to effectively utilize digital tools, manage and organize data and navigate digital information to support business objectives in a modern, information-driven environment
  • Leverage digital solutions to enhance and optimize work methods, driving efficiency and innovation
  • Awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Regulatory Authority for approval of new aircraft designs, product improvements and ongoing safety issues
  • Serve as part of the A220 Airworthiness Team to provide key leadership in maintaining the safety, certification and airworthiness of the A220 program
  • Organize and manage the logistics of internal/external certification activities
  • Liaise with government certification authorities and provide regulatory advice to other Airbus Canada disciplines
  • Be the primary point of contact between the company and regulatory authorities (primarily Transport Canada) for the assessment and resolution of issues impacting aircraft safety
  • Lead internal efforts to maintain an acceptable level of aircraft safety, provide visibility to company management and provide guidance on company procedures related to airworthiness processes, including internal safety management review processes
