About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Liaison Engineering Professional to join our MAP (Mise Au Point) Engineering team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with other Airbus engineering specialist disciplines, methods, quality and production. You will be part of the Liaison MRB MAP team responsible for providing engineering solutions to support non-conformances of the final production line of the Airbus A220. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively. Your role as Liaison Engineering Professional will be to provide dispositions to non-conformances for the A220 across different production phases ensuring engineering integrity and airworthiness are restored in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or technical college diploma in engineering, aerospace or equivalent, with at least 5 years' experience
  • Leadership skills, judgment, flexibility, initiative, and ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Energetic person with excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong interest for aircraft structures and systems installation
  • High sense of commitment, able to meet tight deadlines and comfortable to work under pressure, and a sense of urgency
  • Practical working experience using Catia V5
  • Bilingual (French and English)

Responsibilities

  • Support production, completions and delivery operations in our manufacturing and assembly areas (ex: follow up on non-conformity reports (NCRs), key performance indicators (KPIs), etc.)
  • Design, analyze and disposition repairs for structural non-conformances in a timely manner to restore design integrity in sub-assembly, final line and preflight areas of the A220 Aircraft
  • Rapidly design repairs based on equivalent strength / stiffness of surrounding structure while in a production schedule-driven environment
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications & provide guidance to Methods and Production employees
  • Adhere to the A220 Materiel Review Board (MRB) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures
  • Maintain a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments in aircraft structures in order to recommend innovations to improve the quality, economy, and effectiveness of company products
  • Participate in projects that aim to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve financial performance
  • Work in close cooperation with other Engineering disciplines such as Systems, Stress, Materials & Processes, Propulsion, and Support Groups such as Logistics, Methods & Quality in order to achieve the company's business objectives
