About The Position

The City of Fresno Airports Department is currently looking for an Airports Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator. The Airports Marketing & Public Relations Coordinator is a single position class. Reporting to the Director of Aviation, the incumbent plans, organizes, and directs the Marketing and Air Service Development activities. Duties include developing and implementing marketing strategies and activities to attract new/increased passenger and cargo service to Fresno Yosemite International Airport and Fresno Chandler Executive Airport. One vacancy currently exists in the Administration Division of the Airports Department. The current vacancy exists in Administrative Division of the Airports Department. Immediate and future vacancies will be filled from this eligible list for a period of three (3) months from the date the eligible list is created, with the option of extending that period at the City's discretion. If the examination process is suspended for this recruitment, the eligible list may be limited to three (3) months.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, public administration, public relations, advertising or closely related field.
  • Four years of experience in management of a marketing or public relations program.
  • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two years.
  • Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's license, at time of appointment.
  • Selected eligible candidates certified will be required to successfully pass a Department interview and a Department of Justice fingerprint prior to employment with the City of Fresno.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and directs the Marketing and Air Service Development activities.
