About The Position

The Airport Tug Operator performs pre-operation inspections to ensure tugs are functioning properly. The operator retrieves staggered chairs from concourses, train levels, the main terminal, car rental centers, and other locations; loads chairs onto the tug in authorized areas; transports them safely to designated authorized areas; and unloads and stages them in authorized spaces.

The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, with Unifi Aviation, LLC. It is full-time and non-exempt, with A.M., overnight, and P.M. shifts. The base pay rate is $15.25.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability to regularly and repetitively lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing 70 pounds or more, and to lift 40–50 pounds onto raised surfaces.
• Ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass a background check of up to 10 years.
• Authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation inspections of tugs to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Recover staggered chairs from concourses, train levels, the main terminal, car rental centers, and other locations.
• Load chairs onto the tug in authorized areas.
• Safely drive the tug to authorized areas.
• Unload the tug and stage chairs in an authorized space.
