About The Position

Highly skilled mechanical work in the operation and maintenance of heating, air conditioning, and other mechanical equipment in the buildings assigned. Incumbents must have knowledge in Utility Management systems as well as pneumatic controls. This position may require shift work.

Requirements

2nd Class Air Conditioning or Refrigeration License issued by the Board of Examiners of Operating Engineers of the City of New Orleans.
2nd Class Boiler's License issued by the Board of Examiners of Operating Engineers of the City of New Orleans.
High School graduation.
Current Louisiana driver's license.
Eligibility for coverage under the airport's auto liability insurance policy.
One (1) year of experience in power plant operations.
Knowledge in the operation of emergency generators and fire pumps.
Must pass a personal, criminal, and employment background check.
Must maintain all required licenses, permits, certificates, and auto liability insurance eligibility during employment.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities
