About The Position

You will be part of a team responsible for day-to-day IT support and maintenance activities at Saskatoon International Airport including incident resolution, hardware/system upgrades, software troubleshooting, software updates, project work, and preventative maintenance on all in scope airport owned equipment. This is a full-time, salaried position with company benefits. The Airport Systems Support Technician will work 10-hour days, 4 days a week (totalling 40 hours) by way of rotational shifts which cover the airport operation 24/7/365. The successful candidate will be flexible to work weekdays and weekends as per the shift schedule. There is also after hours on-call support where incidents raised can either be resolved remotely or if needed, attended to in person at the airport.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated focus on customer service.
  • Recognized technical experience with A+, Net+, Microsoft certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of relevant applications such as MS Office Suite, OS, and Active Directory.
  • Familiar with basic concepts of LAN/WAN equipment.
  • Experience of all the above within a site-based customer service environment.
  • High School Diploma, Post Secondary Education, and/or minimum three (2) years of relevant experience
  • Competent in hands on computer hardware repair and maintenance.
  • English as the main spoken language with basic conversational French
  • Friendly and personable with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks on time.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. if required.
  • Keen attention to details.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Reside within a 20 minute radius of Saskatoon airport

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting end user workstations, printers, scanners, and VOIP systems is an advantage.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+ Preferred
  • Microsoft Windows certifications advantageous.
