Requirements

Degree, qualification related to the field of automation at the university level (e.g.: DEC in industrial electronics, BAC in automated production engineering or electrical engineering, etc.), or equivalent relevant work experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of systems and services.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the French and English languages including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Siemens PLC S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500 series (preferred)
Knowledge of integrated safety PLCs (preferred)
Knowledge of industrial networks: Profibus, Profinet (preferred)
Experience with material handling equipment (preferred).

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites.
Installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.
Perform control system and software changes; create and modify system specifications and operating procedures.
Program, troubleshoot, and repair: sensors, scanners, visualization systems, motors, frequency inverters and encoders.
Participate in testing and commissioning efforts at major airports.
Support proposals and customer inquiries.
Meet timelines to ensure projects stay on schedule and on budget.
Build engineering and design skillsets where possible.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to raise and solve issues and outages.
