As an Airport Security Officer: F/T Morning Shifts in Kailua Kona, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for travelers, employees, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Requirements

Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
18+ years of age
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
Have at least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
Have customer service experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and/or airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.
