About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Airport Security Officer in Lihue, Hawaii, to provide unarmed patrol and security services at a government transportation location. The officer will help maintain a secure environment for travelers, employees, and visitors by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service. The role is scheduled Wednesday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at a pay rate of $28.75 per hour. Applicants must meet the stated age, language, licensing, experience, education, and screening requirements. Employment is contingent on applicable background investigations and drug screening. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Valid driver's license; the posting lists this as a requirement and states that it is required for driving positions only.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned airport locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report access-control concerns or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site procedures and coordinating with airport operations and public agencies when appropriate.
Document observations, patrol activities, and incidents accurately and promptly according to site requirements.
