About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Airport Security Officer at a government airport location in Kahului, Hawaii. The role serves and safeguards passengers, visitors, tenants, airport personnel, and other clients by conducting patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and supporting a welcoming and secure airport environment. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. The scheduled shifts are Thursday through Sunday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $26.50 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license, required for this driving position and subject to Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening, including a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, tenants, and airport personnel while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas, and credential requirements according to airport and government facility procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document activities as required.
• Assist with traffic, parking, and passenger-flow concerns while maintaining a professional presence.
