About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Airport Security Officer at a government airport location in Kahului, Hawaii. The officer will safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting airport security procedures, and providing customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and government personnel. The role requires communication skills and use of computer or tablet tools to support daily operations. The posted schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, at a rate of $26.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license; the posting specifies a requirement of more than one year.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, roadways, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and actions taken in accordance with site requirements.
