As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while using technology to document activities. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned airport areas, terminal approaches, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, access concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and contacting appropriate airport personnel or first responders.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.
