About The Position

As an Airport Security Officer: Full Time, Afternoon Shift in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service to travelers, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, public areas, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observed conditions accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
