About The Position

Unifi is seeking an Airport Red Coat Agent to provide outstanding customer service to passengers throughout arrivals, ticketing, check-in, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and the resolution of questions or complaints. The role involves assisting passengers from arrival through check-in, including supporting travelers with special needs, and maintaining a highly visible presence in customer-facing situations. Paid training is provided. The position is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is full time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• At least two years of customer service experience.
• Ability to obtain credentials required by airport, state, or customs requirements.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in weather conditions that may include severe seasonal elements.
• Ability to frequently push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, lift up to 70 pounds, and move up to 70 pounds; and constantly walk, stand, handle, grasp, and reach out. May occasionally need to reach above shoulder level.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist passengers through the arrival and check-in process, including supporting passengers with special needs such as unaccompanied minors.
• Handle ticketing and check-in using a computerized system, including boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolution of related complaints and problems.
• Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine.
• Maintain a highly visible presence in customer-facing situations.
• Keep passengers informed and make announcements about itineraries, flights, and luggage.
• Follow safety procedures and policies and complete work in a safe and secure manner in accordance with company safety and operational standards.
• Immediately report safety and security incidents and potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the skill, experience, and capability requirements of the position.
