About The Position

Unifi is seeking Airport Ramp Agents to support airline ground services and help aircraft and passengers reach their destinations safely. No experience is required, and paid training is provided. The role involves marshalling aircraft, handling baggage and cargo, operating ramp equipment, and, when assigned, performing aircraft cabin service. Work must be completed safely and in accordance with company safety and operational standards. The position is based in San Diego, California, and is full-time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required by airport, state, or customs requirements.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be able to frequently lift more than 70 pounds and constantly lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to constantly push and pull up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, and bend.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must be able and willing to work outdoors in weather conditions that may include severe seasonal elements.

Responsibilities

• Marshall arriving, departing, and towed aircraft on the ramp.
• Perform wing walker duties to protect aircraft wings from equipment during pushback, and de-ice aircraft as required.
• Load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, and baggage carts.
• Operate ramp equipment, including bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, water servicing vehicles, and lavatory servicing vehicles.
• When assigned cabin service duties, service aircraft, clean lavatories and cabins, and restock supplies and other items.
• Adhere to safety procedures and policies.
• Complete work safely and securely in accordance with company safety and operational standards.
• Immediately report safety and security incidents and potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the skill, experience, and capabilities expected for the position.
