About The Position

Sodexo Live!'s Airport Lounge Segment is seeking a General Manager for their premium client, Lufthansa Lounge at Dulles International Airport in Dulles, VA. This role is responsible for the daily operations and service staff of a premium lounge that serves elite passengers, offering relaxation and food/beverage services. The General Manager will be hands-on, actively involved in daily service operations, and responsible for food and beverage operations, supervisors, bartenders, and custodial staff. The ideal candidate will have strong food & beverage knowledge, a keen eye for detail, excellent service standards, and exceptional team leadership skills. Financial management, including cost controls and P&L oversight, is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in a UNION environment.
  • GM level experience in an elevated, to fine dining, concept or location.
  • Experience in premium suites/arenas services, cruise lines, premium high volume catering preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service.
  • Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems.
  • Experience in financials, preparation, and oversight.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of Management Experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of Functional Experience.

  • Experience in premium suites/arenas services, cruise lines, premium high volume catering.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of daily food operations and delivery of a high-quality product.
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
  • Develop and maintain client and customer relationships.
  • Motivate, coach, mentor, and develop frontline (hourly) staff.
  • Ensure Sodexo standards are met, including compliance with company food and physical safety programs.
  • Manage Profit and Loss, inventory, and fiscal responsibilities of operating a stand-alone business.
